You've heard the advice. Doctors say “eat healthy.” Parents try. But what does it actually mean? Labels are confusing. Ultra-processed food is everywhere. And when you're tired on a Tuesday night, the easy default wins.

Food is Medicine is a growing movement in healthcare. Hospitals are prescribing produce alongside medications. Medical schools are adding Culinary Medicine to their curriculum. The federal government just released new dietary guidelines at RealFood.gov with one clear message: eat real food.
The problem? Most doctors and clinicians aren't trained in this yet. And you'd normally only hear about it after something goes wrong.
Food Labs brings that clinical-level education directly to your family. Dr. Vibha spent 20 years as a clinical pharmacist treating diet-related diseases. Now she's training in Culinary Medicine and pairing it with hands-on kitchen skills at a real teaching studio. Your kids learn what healthcare professionals are just starting to discover, made practical, and delivered before they ever need a doctor.
“After years of managing medications for preventable diseases, I realized I was treating symptoms instead of causes. The earlier we teach kids how food affects their body, the fewer pills they'll need as adults.”
Each Saturday: 30 min science + 60 min hands-on cooking
Not just recipes. Participants learn why each ingredient matters for their health.
First 3 families to enroll get a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Vibha to discuss your child's specific nutrition goals.
This is the "pharmacology" of food. Kids learn how different colors in fruits and vegetables work like medicine: red foods for your heart, green foods for your cells, orange for your eyes. They practice diagnosing an unbalanced plate and prescribing the right combination of foods to fix it.
Takeaway: Can build a balanced plate for any meal and explain why each color matters for their body.
Kids become label detectives. They decode cereal boxes and yogurt containers to find hidden sugars and marketing tricks. Then they build breakfasts that fuel their brain and body for the day, not ones that spike and crash before third period.
Takeaway: Can independently choose and prepare a low-sugar, high-energy breakfast.
We connect what you eat to how you feel and focus. Kids learn basic knife skills and food prep safety, then build lunches designed to prevent the afternoon slump. They'll pack a lunch box they're actually excited to eat.
Takeaway: Can safely assemble a complete, nutritious lunch box for the next day.
Kids learn to tell the difference between "I'm bored" and "I'm actually hungry." They explore how fiber-rich foods feed their gut garden (microbiome) and create snacks that provide real energy, not empty calories.
Takeaway: Can identify and prepare a healthy snack when they are truly hungry.
Dinner is where everything comes together. Kids master techniques like sautéing and roasting that lock in flavor and nutrients. They learn about seasonal eating and explore how different cultures build nourishing evening meals.
Takeaway: Can confidently prepare a key component of the family dinner using safe, effective cooking techniques.
The finale. Kids plan, prep, and cook a complete multi-course Harvest Meal for their families. They invite you in, explain the "medicinal" properties of each dish, and share what they've learned. It's the ultimate demonstration of their growth.
Takeaway: Can plan and execute a full, healthy meal and explain the health benefits to others.
